A short-term rental around here is usually a city condo booked for a long weekend, or a suburban house a family rents while they are in town for a wedding. Those are the ones we shoot most. And if your place is farther out — acreage past the collar counties, a lake house, a cabin near Galena — that works the same way.

How much does Airbnb photography cost?
Vacation rentals are quoted per property rather than run through the residential calculator. A vacation rental has no list price to scale from, and the work depends on how much of the property is part of the stay — a one-bedroom condo and a cabin on ten acres with a hot tub and a dock are different days.
How many photos does an Airbnb or Vrbo listing need?
Enough that a guest never has to wonder what a room looks like. Every bedroom, every bathroom, the kitchen, the living space and every amenity named in the description. A hot tub in the text but missing from the gallery reads as a hot tub that is not really there.
Do I need to be at the property for the shoot?
No. Most vacation rentals are shot on a turnover day with a lockbox code, between the cleaner leaving and the next guest arriving. You are welcome to be there, but it is never required.
Do you photograph vacation rentals outside the Chicago area?
Yes — remote cabins and lake properties are usually the ones that need it most, since the setting is a large part of what a guest is booking. Travel outside the regular service area is quoted with the job.
